About Us
General, Cosmetic and Family Dentistry
A modern, fully-digitalised clinic
We are a small, independent, boutique dental clinic close to the airport in Hervey Bay.
We aim to provide the best quality, ethical dentistry to our clients, whilst providing the highest standard of service.
We practise minimal intervention dentistry and we are trained in the latest general and cosmetic procedures.
We do not push treatment on any of our clients, and our whole team is caring and dedicated to ensuring you have a positive experience with us.

The principal dentists,
Drs Samantha and Nicholas Peters
Blue Sky Dental Care was opened in 2013 by Dr Imogen Foster, and Dr Samantha joined in 2015. Together, they have ensured that Blue Sky Dental Care has been a consistent provider of high quality, ethical dental care for the region.
In April 2025, Samantha and Nick Peters took over the business from Imogen, which allows her to focus purely on the clinical side of dentistry.
They have introduced a ground-breaking digital and photogrammetric scanner to aid in digital smile design and all-on-x treatment, while also eliminating the need for traditional gooey impressions for implants, ceramic crowns, veneers, bridges, mouthguards, clear aligners and sleep devices.
Nick works with a Queensland trained maxillofacial surgeon and specialist laboratory to provide complex implant treatment (including All-on-4 or All-on-X), which can be done in our surgery in Urangan, or under general anaesthesia in hospital.

After working in New Zealand, and then Maryborough for nearly 11 years, Nick has joined our team at Blue Sky Dental Care!
Nick enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry. He has recently completed a postgraduate diploma in implant dentistry, and has started another diploma with a focus on aesthetic, cosmetic and restorative dentistry. It would be fair to say that Nick loves keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques, and has even published his own research in an international dental journal.
He is well-known as a caring, gentle and skillful dentist, and invests heavily in his continuing education. Nick likes to get to know his clients and takes great pride in providing them with the best possible care.
Nick practices ‘blame free dentistry’ and will not tell you off for the condition of your teeth. He will listen to your concerns and desires and work out a treatment plan tailored to your needs and your budget.
Outside of the office, Nick enjoys cooking, keeping fit, ice baths and spending as much time as possible with his young family.
Dr Samantha Peters, BDS
Dr Samantha Peters grew up in Hawaii and studied dentistry in New Zealand, where she graduated with distinction from the University of Otago. She worked in rural NZ, at the bottom of the South Island, before moving to Hervey Bay in 2014.
Samantha is a friendly, gentle and meticulous dentist who takes her time explaining each step of every dental procedure. She takes pride in providing high quality treatment, and with her caring manner she ensures that patients feel at ease.
She loves living in Hervey Bay with her young family, and in her spare time she enjoys playing soccer and exploring the Wide Bay area. Samantha is passionate about all aspects of dentistry and looks forward to meeting you!
Dr Imogen Foster, BDS
Dr Imogen graduated from the University of Birmingham (UK) Dental School in 1988. After building a wide range of experience working in general practice in England and the Middle East, she and her young family made the life-changing decision to emigrate to Australia in 2006. Dr Imogen spent four years working in Burnie, north-west Tasmania then moved to Queensland where the family readily adapted to the warmer climate and outdoor lifestyle of Hervey Bay.
Throughout her career, Dr Imogen has kept abreast of the many advancements in dentistry and continues to be excited by new challenges. Forty years on, she still gets a thrill from a job well done!
Dr Imogen is often complimented by her patients on her small hands and gentle technique. Her focus is on minimally invasive treatment and she is passionate about prevention. She fervently believes that care of teeth is a team effort between dentist and client, striving to make the experience as pleasant as possible.
Following the recent transfer of ownership of the practice to Nick and Sam, she has more time for her beloved garden and frequent visits to her three sons in Brisbane.
